Crusted With Shredded Cheddar Cheese
This was my first try at using shredded cheddar cheese to coat chicken breasts. I don't like cheese, but my son does, so I figure it wouldn't hurt to experience something new. After watching a Top Chef challenge commercial, I got the inspiration to do so.
Crusted Cheddar Cheese Chicken Breast With Side Dishes
My Own Mix:
Process:
Crusted Cheddar Cheese Chicken Breast With Side Dishes
- 1 cup of shredded mild cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- a pinch of dried basil
- 1 egg
- Heat your oven to 350
- Beat the egg, and dip your chicken breasts in the mixture
- Roll your egg-covered chicken breasts in your mixed flour batter (cheese, flour, salt, pepper, etc...)
- Coat them well on both sides
- Place your cheddar cheese coated chicken breasts on a non-stick greased cooking sheet
- Put them in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, flip them in between
- Serve with whatever side dishes of your liking
that sounds and looks delicious - my kids can't eat cheese, but I love it! We may have to give it a try!
ReplyDeletedoes not look only very yummy but sounds so yummy, i am not a fan of cheese usually, but am crazy when it is baked or grilled crisp, i am transformed into a BIG fan :)
