Simple Wonton Soup

Cold weather is perfect for soup, eating soup, making soup, simple soup and complicated soup. I opt for simple Wonton Soup since we ran out most of everything in the refrigerator during the week of super storm Hercules.

You will need:

-1 lb. of ground pork or ground turkey
-1 egg
-salt and black pepper
-vegetable broth or chicken broth, seasoned well
-wonton skin
-2 carrots; cut into bite sizes
-Chopped green onion for garnish
Do this:

-Seasoned your ground pork or ground turkey with salt and pepper.
-Crack one egg in the ground pork and mix well.
-Use one teaspoon of the pork mixture for each wonton skin
-Pinch the edge of the wonton skin together with wet fingers and set aside

Cook the broth with bite size carrots until they are tender, and bring it up to a boil. Donot forget to season your broth! Drop in as many wontons as you want to eat. I prefer to cook my wontons when someone wants to eat since the wontons tend to expand in the broth making them very un-appetizing.

Just make sure to keep your prepared wonton in the refrigerator until ready to use. Bon appetite!!
