Purchase your favorite cut of steak, and in my case, they were T-Bone steaks, simply marinated them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder for about 1/2 hour.
Grilled Home Grown Peppers
First, seared them in a nonstick pan right on the grill to colorized the outside, and put them on your grill to finish cooking with a tap of butter. Allow it to melt right on to the meat, and then do the same to other side. (Your steak will turn out wonderfully tender and moist this way!)
We also grilled three sweet peppers from our garden, and our tomatoes plant finally produced four big beautiful tomatoes for us to harvest.
Fried Green Tomatoes
My son, Thai, the master chef of the house found a recipe from Paula Deen to make this fried green tomatoes. Cut your green tomatoes into 1/4 inches thick, salt them on both sides, and rest these green tomato pieces on paper towel for half an hour to drain out moisture.
You will also need self rising flour, and buttermilk. Dip your tomato pieces in buttermilk, allow them to coat well, and then dip them in self rising flour. Shake off the excessive flour before frying them.
Dipping Sauce For Fried Green Tomatoes
To make this dipping sauce for the fried green tomatoes, you will need:
- Rice wine vinegar
- Mayonnaise
- Finely chopped onion and fresh chive
- Brown sugar
- Salt and pepper
You have convinced me to try the fried green tomatoes! That steak looks amazing.
