Red Lipstick Vine Flowers

Red Lipstick Vine
Just as the sign in the above indicated, these red flowers are called "Lipstick Vine", and I found them at the Conservatory blooming in October.  The scientific name is Aeschynanthus lobbianus.

Macro of Lipstick Vine Flower
The flower has a tubular shape, and to grow this plant indoor the temperature has to be from 60-85 degree Fahrenheit with high humidity. It also does best with indirect sunlight from the West, East, and South.

Red Lipstick Vine
The lipstick flower grows in group at the tips of the branches, and loves organic acid soil. It also prefers moisture and needs to be fed weekly with fertilizer soluble, with extra nitrogen while flowering. Registered & Protected
