Marinate Flat Iron Steak
Ingredients:
Flat Iron Steak
Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides, and rub with extra virgin olive oil. Then spread minced garlic, chopped scallions, and bay leaf pieces all over the steak. Cover the steak with lemon pieces on both sides, and refrigerate for 24 hours.
I only marinated my steak for about 6 hours since I didn't have enough time to wait, but it turned out scrumptious also. We grilled the steak on low heating setting!
Complete Flat Iron Steak Meal
I found this recipe in Food and Wine magazine, and decided to give it a try. Since I didn't have fresh garlic or lemon, I substitute them with minced garlic in a jar and lime. I can tell you that no one complaints in my house, but wants to have two flat iron steaks next time :-)
The best thing is this piece of steak only cost me $7.00, and my meal came close to $10, but was enough to feed four people.
