Shredded Cheddar Cheese Crusted Chicken Breasts

Crusted With Shredded Cheddar Cheese
This was my first try at using shredded cheddar cheese to coat chicken breasts. I don't like cheese, but my son does, so I figure it wouldn't hurt to experience something new. After watching a Top Chef challenge commercial, I got the inspiration to do so.

Crusted Cheddar Cheese Chicken Breast With Side Dishes
My Own Mix:
  • 1 cup of shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • a pinch of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • a pinch of dried basil
  • 1 egg
  • Heat your oven to 350
  • Beat the egg, and dip your chicken breasts in the mixture
  • Roll your egg-covered chicken breasts in your mixed flour batter (cheese, flour, salt, pepper, etc...)
  • Coat them well on both sides
  • Place your cheddar cheese coated chicken breasts on a non-stick greased cooking sheet
  • Put them in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, flip them in between
  • Serve with whatever side dishes of your liking
