It starts out with this beautiful yellow flower on a crawling vine, behind the wall of mama's house. It was not planted intentionally, but was meant to be composted when the left over was tossed there!
From the beautiful yellow flowers, melons grow and still growing! I don't know what this type of melon is, but it looks very familiar.
Well, it won't take a scientist to tell me this is a cantaloup. It is perfectly round and pretty. I only hope the weather stays warm long enough for all of these melons to ripe.
This one looks like the honeydew, but I could be wrong! I have read that sometimes people get wonderful surprises from their compost pile. This was my mama's case, and these are my mama's melons!
