“Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and it's beauty.”
― Albert Einstein

Around here, we are going into colder temperature, and it is time to build your immune system to stay stray from the cold the flu!

I cook all my meal with added herbs and spices. Ginger, garlic, lemongrass, and onion are the common ingredients in my dishes.

If you are fond of having soup on chilly days, make a pot of soup with the ingredients below to boost up your immune system:
  • Cabbage-(it increases your body's ability to fight infection)
  • Shiitake mushrooms-(contain vitamins and minerals to help your immune function)
  • Any type of seaweed-(seaweed cleanses the body)
  • Any type of squash
  • Carrots
  • Fresh ginger slices-(ginger helps your digestion)
  • Oregano
  • Onion
If you don't like eating it as soup, then just make a pot to use as broth. Drink it every few days to build a strong and healthy immune system.

Presenting to me was this beautiful sky painting when I took my son to school in the morning. At 7:15 AM, it was still dark out there, but it made the colors stood out quite better.

Yes, this scenery was in my neighborhood, and when I saw it; my jaw dropped almost (I said almost) to the ground. It was just unbelievable! I did not care who was watching me out of their window. I was just happy being a fool walking this way, walking that way trying to find an empty spot to take these photos.

I signed up at RedGage about two years ago when friends asked me to, and then I forgot all about it because I was swamped with too many things to do. However, I recently checked back in and decided to use this website to share my photos just for fun since I have so many in my archives.

I still have these gorgeous mini cornflowers blooming in the garden, and I might add that they are doing well despite the strange weather we're having. Since the weather changes, I have also neglecting my little garden, and whatever grows, just grow.

Our Varsity soccer game usually started at 6:00 PM, and the cloud often put on a pretty display in front of our eyes. Though there are many cameras on the bleacher, there is only one that pointed at the sky :-)

Somehow in the open, the sky always seems much prettier to see without the power lines and such. Daylight disappears very quick nowadays, and most nights we get home when street lights have already been on for a while.

In 2007, I wrote this article, Five Signs That Tell Your Relationship is Over based on how I felt, and experienced. I'm not one to gloat about how many views this article has received, or how much money it has earned me. However, I just know that this article is still circulating very strong, and I've received a number of requests through email for advices on when to throw in the towel.

However, I am not trained as an expert in relationship. I can only offer my own experiences as stepping stones for those that need a little road map.

I came across these photos of lilac buds taken some time in May, and like the lighting on these branches. As you all know, lilac season was over a while ago, and my archives come in handy now!

Looking forward to new growth next year will keep us all content while taking new shots as the season changes.

May your new week be filled with blessings!

My oldest son discovered an authentic Polish restaurant in our area called Celina's Polish Kitchen, and it was voted Macomb County's "Best of the Best" Reader's Choice Awards in 2010.

Above are the potato perogies, topped with chopped sautee' onion! Prices are reasonable and the food is fresh.
